The Backstory

Today, Money Coaches Canada is the nation’s leading provider of advice-only financial planning. The service offered by a Money Coach is unique in the market for financial services.

Most Canadians receive financial advice from commissioned salespeople who are compensated for the investment products they sell. A Money Coach, on the other hand, is a fee-for-service financial professional that doesn’t sell investments, insurance or financial products.

Money Coaches Canada turned to Outsource Marketing in 2015. They needed help raising awareness of their service offering across Canada, creating clarity on their value proposition, and implementing a marketing plan that would generate a steady flow of new leads for its 20 + coaches from Vancouver to Toronto.

Our Plan of Action

Our engagement with Money Coaches Canada began with the creation of an innovative content marketing strategy and managing all facets of content creation and distribution. This involved authoring two blog posts each month, managing their social media platforms, and distributing a monthly email newsletter to their large database of subscribers.

In addition to creating an overarching strategy that guides the type of content created, and how it gets distributed, Outsource Marketing developed a structured and detailed content calendar to ensure every milestone is met, and opportunity leveraged.

The integration of multiple platforms provided a key element to success. Social Media channels, blogs, newsletters and email marketing all proved to be important tools to optimize to achieve the lead generation objectives for Money Coaches Canada. Online advertising has also proved to be an important element in their lead generation efforts, which is managed by Outsource Marketing’s technology partner, Relentless Technology.

Each month, we review how the lead generation program is performing and identify opportunities for improvement. Over the past five years, the lead generation program for Money Coaches Canada has been continually refined, and today, leads and conversions continue to improve. The Money Coaches are busier than ever, and more and more clients are benefiting from the amazing work this organization delivers.

Epilogue

Our relationship with Money Coaches Canada is still going strong – after more than five years. In 2019, we helped them launch a new investment portfolio review service called the Investment Report Card. We are responsible for leading the marketing efforts for this important new offering from Money Coaches Canada.
