When Marli first contacted Outsource Marketing, she was looking for a marketing firm that could help strengthen her brand, clarify her businesses’ value positioning, and build a lead generation program to fuel future revenue growth.
Once a successful labour lawyer, Marli built her business by becoming a highly acclaimed author, trainer and workplace consultant. Her system, the Mirror Method, is a six-step framework proven for its effectiveness at not only correcting workplace dysfunction but also building high-performing teams and organizations.
However, Marli’s existing website did not adequately convey the tremendous value she brought to organizations – both in the private and public sectors. Her existing website was focused more on reducing workplace conflict and less on the bigger strategic challenge most organizations are confronting – building competitive business by fostering dynamic and incredibly productive teams and individuals.
Apart from a website that was not effectively positioning her brand and communicating her value proposition, Marli did not have a system for consistently producing new leads, converting leads into customers, and leveraging those relationships to maximize the life-time value of every client.
Our Plan of Action
Marli’s business is focused on Western Canada, primarily BC and Alberta. Our engagement with Marli began by assessing her competitors and clarifying the biggest challenges (and opportunities) confronting her primary customer segments, including healthcare, cities and regional districts, provincial governments, primary and secondary schools, universities and colleges, and first responders.
Before all of that, we spent a lot of time getting to know Marli, her business, and better understanding where she wanted the organization to be in 10 years.
With our market research, customer and competitor analysis in hand, we developed a brand and business strategy for Marli. A new logo, visual identity, and positioning strategy came next. Then, we took everything we had learned and developed, and built a new website (with our web partner Medium Rare Interactive) to reinforce her new brand position and lay the groundwork for the next step of our assignment – implementing a lead generation program.
We’ve been working with MFR Resolutions since 2017. The website and lead generation program has proven to be exceptional business investments, and today, Marli’s business is busier than ever. Today, Outsource Marketing is involved in nearly every facet of the firm’s marketing and sales efforts.
