Regency Medical Supplies
Regency has been in the sales, services, repair and assessment business for Mobility Devices and Durable Medical Equipment for over 45 years. Regency is a trusted and well-recognized brand amongst healthcare practitioners and sales specialists servicing a variety of specialized and non-specialized needs by clients throughout BC’s Lower Mainland.
Proposal Writing and Editing
The Ministry of Citizens’ Services issued an RFP in late 2019 seeking proposals from medical equipment dealers that are authorized and capable of the sales, service, repair and maintenance of mobility devices and durable medical equipment. Each year, the Ministry provides approximately 14,000 clients with social service entitlements and funding to purchase or rent mobility devices and equipment.
Regency has been successfully providing the services described in the RFP to the Lower Mainland for the past 17 years. The contract was up for renewal for another three-year term, and Regency hired Outsource Marketing to develop a winning submission to retain this important contract.
Our Plan of Action
Bill from Regency contacted us in early December 2019 to assist with their submission to the Ministry of Citizens’ Services. It was due January 9th, so our team was going to have to work over the holidays to finalize the proposal. No problem. Working nights, weekends, and over holidays is the “nature of the best” when it comes to proposal management.
After educating ourselves on Regency’s business and developing an understanding of how best to communicate the strengths of their service delivery, we began the writing process. Over a few weeks that included lots of collaboration with the client and his team, a solid submission was taking shape.
Compared to many of the other Lower Mainland firms competing for this RFP, Regency enjoyed a few competitive advantages, including exceptional service, experienced and knowledgeable employees, large product showroom, huge inventory of parts, and strong manufacturer relationships. It was our job to ensure that we reinforced these competitive differentiators throughout the proposal in thoughtful and creative ways.
The client’s submission was successful. Regency was awarded a three-year contract and was kind enough to share the good news with us as soon as they found out.
